1. Who we are

Fluid Dynamics LLC DBA TetherCX ("Fluid Dynamics LLC DBA TetherCX," "we," "us," or "our") operates Tether, a customer-communication product used by car wash locations so customers can text a location (or continue a website chat by SMS) and staff can reply from a shared inbox. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the Tether Customer Messaging by Fluid Dynamics LLC DBA TetherCX program.

2. Information we collect

When you message a participating location or convert a webchat conversation to SMS, we may collect:

• Your mobile phone number
• Message content you send and replies sent by location staff through Tether
• Basic delivery metadata (timestamps, delivery status) needed to operate the messaging service
• SMS opt-in / consent records associated with your mobile number

3. How we use your information

We use this information to:

• Deliver two-way customer-care SMS between you and the location you contacted
• Show your conversation to authorized staff in that location's Tether inbox
• Honor opt-out, help, and related messaging preferences
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations

Message frequency varies based on how often you contact the location and how staff respond. Message and data rates may apply.

4. Mobile information — no third-party marketing sharing

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may use service providers strictly to deliver and store messages (for example, SMS carriers/providers and our hosting database). Those providers process data only to operate the messaging service for us, not for their own marketing.

5. How you opt in

You opt in by (1) texting the location number first, (2) submitting your mobile number in the website webchat widget, or (3) agreeing to SMS account communications as part of signing a membership agreement with a participating location. We do not send promotional or marketing texts through this program, and we do not message numbers that have not opted in through one of these paths.

6. How you opt out and get help
